We all have a story.

What’s happened to us, our reasons for seeking therapy, the stories we live, are as individual as we are. Consider therapy as an invitation to explore that story, wherever you’re beginning. Maybe you want to understand how you got to this point. Maybe there’s been a twist, and you’re not sure how to move past it. Maybe you have no idea where you’re going next, or how you’ll get there. Maybe you’re just tired of feeling cast in the same roles, or figuring out which ones you actually want yourself.

If you’re wondering if it’s time to talk to someone, chances are there’s something there waiting to be talked about. Please feel free to reach out and let’s explore how we specifically could work together.

I'm Harmony

I’m a Registered Social Worker with a background in Psychology and Philosophy.

That’s a titled way of saying: When it comes to mental health I believe there are a million different things we can try, and sometimes we all benefit from having someone alongside to hold space while we figure out which one to try next (or help explore how to survive it). I do a lot of work with individuals dealing with complex trauma, couples counselling, and those of us just generally struggling to manage our mental health – whether we always have or just suddenly ‘can’t’ and aren’t sure why.

I am currently offering services both in person and virtually (in Ontario). I do also offer workplace consultation, workshop delivery, services.

What Kinds of Things Bring People to See Me

Individual therapy

(Something’s bothering me and I’m trying to figure out how to deal with it)

  • Shifting how we respond to how we’re feeling

  • Dealing with unwanted/intrusive thoughts

  • Embracing ADHD, autism, neurodiversity - and having ideas on how to manage some of the challenges it can present

  • Managing challenging relationships in our lives

  • Grief counselling

  • Gender affirming care

  • Whether it’s anxiety, depression, interrupting current coping or looking for new options. I am here to meet you where you’re at and to hold space while you figure out how you get through to where you’re going

Trauma therapy

(Something’s happened and I’m trying to figure out how to process it, feel I have moved on from it)

  • Understanding the impacts of trauma

  • Practical in the moment strategies for addressing some of those impacts

  • Trauma processing

  • Figuring out how to understand trauma in your story without letting it define it

Couples counselling

(Whether something's happened, something's bothering us, or something isn't feeling great between us... We want to know if and how reconnection could happen...)

  • Exploring practices to hear each other differently, even in the same fights;

  • Advocacy for connection;

  • Holding space for relationship transitions – setting initial expectations/navigating each others’ values and differences, marriage, divorce, infidelity

About

A warm, direct, endlessly curious and compassionate person who believes in the value of genuine connection, and in empowering you with evidence-based strategies tailored to your situation.
